Now Senate Approves Amended Highway Funding Patch – House Must Now Act

With the house already voting, the senate is poised take action on the highway and transit extension bill next week. Resolution must come before the August recess.
In an AZAGC initiated conference call with the Arizona Department of Transportation, contractors were reassured funding for projects would be available through September 2014.
Arizona’s congressional delegation was split along partisan lines in the vote to extend highway funding. All four Republicans voted “no” while all 5 Democrats voted “yes”.
